? *Brief information about Kaas*
Kaas Plateau also known as the "Kaas Pathar" is situated in the Western Ghat’s Sahyadri range 22 km from Satara city in the state of Maharashtra India. The name Kaas originates from Kaasa tree. As the leaves of this tree mature they turn from green to red. Recently this site was declared as “WORLD HERITAGE SITE” due to excellent biodiversity present over here. Apart from numerous varieties of wild flowers (some of which are endemic to Kaas only) this biodiversity site also shelters many insects beautiful birds amphibians reptiles and some major mammalian species. Visiting this ‘heaven on earth’ is always an outstanding experience.

✔️ *Saturday- 01st Oct 2022 :
05:30 AM : Arrive at pickup point Deccan Gymkhana PMPML bus depo.
05.40 AM : Will start our journey towards Kaas Platue.
08.00 AM : Will have a morning tea & breakfast with Group introduction.
09.00 AM : Reach the Kaas Platue. There will be briefing about the tour and guidelines will be given for our trip.
09:30AM : Walk through the flowers Explore the Platue Enjoy beautiful nature & scenic views. Take photographs & have fun.
01.30 PM: Enjoy delicious lunch.
02.30 PM : Get Ready for Return Journey
03:30 PM : Start return journey with amazing memories.
04.30 PM : Have evening tea on the way
08:30 PM : Reach Pune
(Above mentioned timings are tentative. Arrival time may be delayed depending upon traffic conditions)
✔️ *Note : After exploring the Kaas If time permits then we may visit Sajjangad Fort depending upon our time schedule. As Kaas platue is opening after long break it's going to be full of visitors.
