K-Pop Cut-Out Style Poster Design Workshop

Ages 13–18 | Beginner–Intermediate level

📅 March 22, 2026
12:15–1:40 PM
📍 Toronto Public Library – Fort York Branch

Instructor: Lauren Chan

About the Workshop

Design your own K-Pop–inspired poster using bold cut-out collage techniques! In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore poster design principles while creating a dynamic, letter-size poster inspired by their favorite K-Pop group or artist.

Using colorful paper, cellophane, stickers, and drawing tools, participants will experiment with composition, typography, imagery, and visual hierarchy to express their personal style. The workshop concludes with a fun gallery walk, where everyone can share and appreciate each other’s creations.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand and apply basic poster design principles
  • Experiment with cut-out collage techniques
  • Create an original letter-size K-Pop poster
  • Make intentional design choices that reflect both personal style and K-Pop aesthetics
  • Gain confidence presenting and discussing their artwork

Photo Submission

Participants should email or upload 5–20 official concept photos of their chosen K-Pop group or artist at least 2 days before the workshop so they can be printed in advance.

A shared Google Drive folder will be provided for uploads.
Participants may also discuss preferred photo sizes with the instructor prior to the workshop.
