About this Event

Join American sculptor and Washington gem Joan Danziger, along with Smithsonian Museum of Natural History chief entomologist Floyd Shockley, as we examine human history’s fascination, indeed its reliance, on the beetle. Danziger’s sculptures radiate the strength and beauty of these creatures in her ongoing exhibition “Beetlemania!” Dr. Shockley’s deep knowledge of the vastness of beetle life will help us understand this wonder of Mother Earth.
