La violence contre les peuples du Moyen-Orient et les tensions mondiales s’intensifient à un rythme terrifiant. Deux ans et demi après le début du génocide à Gaza, Israël, poursuivant son cycle de guerres sans fin et illégales avec le soutien des États-Unis, a rapproché la région du gouffre, mettant en danger des millions de vies et aggravant l’instabilité au-delà des frontières.
Les infrastructures civiles sont ciblées sans relâche. Les travailleurs humanitaires, du secteur de la santé et les journalistes sont délibérément attaqués. Des quartiers entiers sont rasés. Des sociétés sont démantelées et les droits sociaux sont durablement piétinés. Le nettoyage ethnique s’accélère à un rythme sans précédent sur l’ensemble du territoire palestinien. Il s’étend désormais au Liban, où Israël applique les mêmes méthodes, tandis que l’attaque illégale contre l’Iran a tué des milliers de personnes déjà affectées par les sanctions et la répression du régime. Dans toute la région, la destruction des infrastructures économiques aggrave les souffrances des populations, en particulier celles vivant dans des conditions de travail précaires.
Ce que nous observons aujourd’hui s’inscrit dans la longue histoire de dépossession et de violence qui a commencé avec la 𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐛𝐚 𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟖 (« 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞 » 𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐞), 𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞̀𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐞́𝐭𝐞́ 𝐝𝐞́𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞́𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 - et dont les descendants se voient encore aujourd’hui refuser leur droit au retour. La Nakba n’est pas un chapitre clos. C’est un processus en cours de colonisation, d’apartheid, de déplacement, de génocide et de déni des droits qui continue de se dérouler sous nos yeux en 2026.
Comme pour la Nakba, le chaos auquel nous assistons aujourd’hui est rendu possible par l’impunité que nos dirigeants accordent à Israël face à ses crimes.
À ce jour, les gouvernements et institutions européens restent complices en maintenant des relations politiques, militaires et économiques qui permettent les politiques israéliennes. L’Union européenne continue d’offrir une couverture diplomatique à Israël et à coopérer avec lui au lieu de faire respecter le droit international.
Le génocide ne s’arrête pas de lui-même, l’apartheid ne s’arrête pas de lui-même. Les guerres ne s’arrêtent pas d’elles-mêmes. L’impunité ne disparaît pas d’elle-même.
Nous refusons de rester silencieux face aux violations systématiques du droit international!
Nous refusons d’accepter la normalisation d’une Nakba en cours, de l’expansionnisme sans fin, de l’occupation illégale, de l’apartheid et du déplacement!
Nous refusons un monde où certaines vies valent moins que d’autres!
Lorsque les gouvernements et les responsables politiques refusent d’agir, il revient aux peuples de les contraindre et de prendre position.

Nous exigeons la fin de la complicité européenne et belge. Nous exigeons des actions concrètes :
- Une reconnaissance claire et sans équivoque et la garantie des droits fondamentaux du peuple palestinien, notamment le droit à l’autodétermination et le droit au retour ;
- La suspension de l’Accord d’association UE-Israël ;
- La fin immédiate, unilatérale et internationale de tous les flux et transferts d’armes vers Israël et l’arrêt de tous les achats d’équipements militaires israéliens;
- Des sanctions contre les auteurs de violations des droits humains, de crimes de guerre et de violations du droit international, et la fin de l’impunité ;
- Une interdiction de tout commerce et investissement qui perpétuent l’occupation et la colonisation illégales israéliennes, ainsi que la fin de l’implication des entreprises et des banques dans l’occupation et les graves violations du droit international ;
- Un soutien public à la libération de tous les prisonniers palestiniens détenus pour des raisons politiques, et une dénonciation du système carcéral israélien raciste, y compris le récent projet de loi sur la peine de mort.

Het geweld tegen de bevolking van het Midden-Oosten en de wereldwijde spanningen escaleren in een angstaanjagend tempo. Tweeënhalf jaar na het begin van de genocide in Gaza heeft Israël, in zijn voortdurende cyclus van eindeloze en illegale oorlogen met steun van de VS, de regio dichter bij de afgrond gebracht. Dit brengt miljoenen levens in gevaar en verdiept de instabiliteit over grenzen heen.
Civiele infrastructuur wordt meedogenloos geviseerd. Hulpverleners, medisch personeel en mediaprofessionals worden doelbewust aangevallen. Volledige wijken worden van de kaart geveegd. Samenlevingen worden ontmanteld en sociale rechten worden structureel ontzegd. Tweeënhalf jaar na het begin van de nog steeds voortgaande genocide in Gaza versnelt de etnische zuivering zich in een ongezien tempo over het hele Palestijnse grondgebied. Dit breidt zich nu uit naar Libanon, waar Israël dezelfde methodes toepast. Tegelijk heeft de illegale aanval op Iran duizenden mensen gedood, die al leden onder de gevolgen van sancties en repressie door het regime. In de hele regio verergert de vernietiging van economische infrastructuur het lijden van de bevolking, vooral van mensen in precaire werkomstandigheden.
Wat we vandaag zien, maakt deel uit van een veel langere geschiedenis van onteigening en geweld die begon met de Nakba van 1948 (Arabisch voor “catastrofe”), toen bijna 800.000 Palestijnen met geweld werden verdreven, terwijl hun nakomelingen tot op vandaag hun recht op terugkeer wordt ontzegd. De Nakba is geen afgesloten hoofdstuk. Het is een voortgaand proces van kolonisatie, apartheid, ontheemding, genocide en ontzegging van rechten dat zich in 2026 nog steeds voor onze ogen voltrekt.
Net zoals de Nakba wordt de chaos die we vandaag zien mogelijk gemaakt door de straffeloosheid die onze leiders Israël toekennen tegenover zijn misdaden.
Tot op heden blijven Europese regeringen en instellingen medeplichtig door politieke, militaire en economische relaties in stand te houden die het Israëlische beleid mogelijk maken. De Europese Unie blijft diplomatieke dekking en samenwerking bieden in plaats van het internationaal recht te handhaven. Genocide stopt niet vanzelf. Apartheid stopt niet vanzelf. Oorlogen stoppen niet vanzelf. Straffeloosheid verdwijnt niet vanzelf.
Wij weigeren te zwijgen over systematische schendingen van het internationaal recht. Wij weigeren de normalisering van een voortgaande Nakba en eindeloze expansiedrang, illegale bezetting, apartheid en ontheemding te aanvaarden. Wij weigeren een wereld waarin sommige levens minder waard worden geacht dan andere.
Wanneer regeringen en politieke leiders weigeren te handelen, is het aan de mensen om hen daartoe te dwingen en stelling te nemen.
Sluit je aan op 17 mei om 14 uur aan het Noordstation in Brussel. Kom de straat op. Laat je stem horen.Wij eisen een einde aan Europese en Belgische medeplichtigheid. Wij eisen concrete actie:
- Een duidelijke en ondubbelzinnige erkenning en garantie van de fundamentele rechten van het Palestijnse volk, in het bijzonder het recht op zelfbeschikking en het recht op terugkeer;
- Opschorting van de associatieovereenkomst tussen de EU en Israël;
- De onmiddellijke, eenzijdige en internationale stopzetting van alle wapenstromen en -overdrachten naar Israël en de stopzetting van alle aankopen van Israëlisch militair materieel;
- Sancties tegen daders van mensenrechtenschendingen, oorlogsmisdaden en schendingen van het internationaal recht, en een einde aan straffeloosheid;
- Een verbod op alle handel en investeringen die de illegale Israëlische bezetting en kolonisatie in stand houden, en een einde aan de betrokkenheid van bedrijven en banken bij de bezetting en ernstige schendingen van het internationaal recht;
- Publieke steun voor de vrijlating van alle Palestijnse gevangenen die om politieke redenen worden vastgehouden, en een veroordeling van het racistische Israëlische gevangenissysteem, inclusief het recente wetsvoorstel rond de doodstraf.
🙏 De organisatoren roepen de deelnemers op om deze leuzen te respecteren en vreedzaam te demonstreren.
🚫 Elke vergoelijking van oorlogsmisdaden, aanvallen tegen burgers of elke uiting van antisemitisme, islamofobie of enige andere vorm van racisme zal leiden tot uitsluiting van de manifestatie.

Against the Nakba. Against genocide. Against war. For justice.
The violence against the people of the Middle East and global tensions are escalating at a terrifying pace. Two and a half years after the start of the genocide in Gaza, Israel, pursuing its cycle of endless and illegal wars with the USA support has pushed the region closer to the brink, endangering millions of lives and deepening instability across borders.
Civilian infrastructure is relentlessly targeted. Aid, sanitarian,media workers are deliberately attacked. Entire neighborhoods are erased. Societies are dismantled and social rights are sustainably denied. Ethnic cleansing is accelerating at an unprecedented rate across the entire Palestinian territory. It is now spreading to Lebanon, where Israel is applying the same method, while the illegal attack against Iran has killed thousands of people who were already suffering from the effects of sanctions, and of the regime’s repression. Across the region, the destruction of economic infrastructure worsen the suffering of the population, especially those in precarious working conditions.
What we are witnessing today is part of a much longer history of dispossession and violence that began with the 1948 Nakba (Arabic for “catastrophe”), when nearly 800,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced—descendants of whom are still denied their right of return today. The Nakba is not a closed chapter. It is an ongoing process of colonization, apartheid, displacement, genocide, and denial of rights that continues to unfold before our eyes in 2026.
The Nakba is the red line that should never have been allowed for Israel to cross.
Like the Nakba, the chaos we are witnessing today is made possible by the impunity our leaders grant Israel in the face of its crimes.
To this date, European governments and institutions remain complicit by maintaining political, military, and economic relations that enable Israel’s policies. The European Union continues to provide diplomatic cover and cooperation instead of enforcing international law. Genocide does not stop on its own, apartheid does not stop on its own. Wars do not stop on their own. Impunity does not fade away by itself.
We refuse to remain silent in the face of systematic violations of international law. We refuse to accept the normalization of an ongoing Nakba and endless expansionism, illegal occupation, apartheid, and displacement. We refuse a world where some lives are valued less than others.
When governments and political leaders refuse to act, it is up to the people to force them and take a stand. Let’s draw the red line that our governments have refused to impose on Israel for far too long.

We demand an end to European and Belgian complicity. We demand concrete action:
- A clear and unequivocal recognition and guarantee of the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people, mainly the right to self-determination and right to return;
- A suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement;
- An immediate unilateral and international end to all arms flows and transfers and a halt to all purchases of Israeli military equipment;
- Sanctions against perpetrators of human rights violations, war crimes and violations of international law, and an end to impunity;
- A ban on all trade and investments that perpetuate the illegal Israeli occupation and colonization and an end to the involvement of companies and banks in occupation and grave violations of international law.
- A public support for the release of all Palestinian prisoners held for political reasons, and a denunciation of the racist Israeli prison system, including the recent death penalty bill.

🚫 Any glorification of war crimes, attacks against civilians, or expressions of antisemitism, Islamophobia, or any other form of racism will lead to exclusion from the gathering.
