What is the foundation for justice? It is rooted in righteousness. We bring together preachers and practitioners of justice.
About this Event

Join Progressive Chicago, our Senior Pastor Dr. Charlie Dates, and other featured speakers for a Justice Summit geared to equip young leaders to do the Justice work required in this day and time. We are bringing together preachers and practitioners (lawyers, activists, writers) to help raise up a new generation to lead the fight for justice rooted in righteousness. Many architects of the Civil Rights movement found their home and training ground in the Black Church. It is a new day, and our foundation stands strong. We gather at Chicago's historic and iconic Progressive Baptist Church to help our emerging leaders lay the foundation for the justice work that will fight the New Jim Crow (as coined by Michelle Alexander), advocate for rights once held that were lost or threatened (voting rights) and become impactful effective leaders in their communities.

Our Plenary Sessions will be held both days on the following schedule:

9:30 - 10:30am

10:45 -11:45am

LUNCH (Catered both days, this is included in your registration cost)

1:30 - 2:30pm

2:35 - 3:35pm

We intend to make this conference as accessible as possible and have partnered with a premier Hyatt Property located in Chicago's Historic Hyde Park with a conference room rate of $139.00 per night (this is quite the deal for Summer time in Chicago). Hotel information and Room Block access code will be sent to all in-person registrants!

Stay tuned for more featured speaker announcements!
