The JUSTICE programme will examine how interrogation practices shape evidence, outcomes and trust in justice systems worldwide.About this Event
A major international research programme is launching at De Montfort University tackling one of the most urgent and contested issues in modern justice: coercive interrogation.
Backed by €10.4 million from the European Research Council, the JUSTICE programme will examine how interrogation practices shape evidence, outcomes and trust in justice systems worldwide. Joining us will be Ron Warmington, the forensic accountant who helped expose the post office scandal and Aimée Comrie, Chief, Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Vienna.
Taking place on Wednesday 20 May 2026 at De Montfort University, Leicester, this launch event will be hosted by ex-BBC crime correspondent Danny Shaw, who will lead debates and discussion with voices from government, law, civil society and academia.
