These experiences influence the women we’ve become—wives, mothers, daughters, leaders, and caregivers—in this ever-changing world.
Yvette McDonald, Rev Dr Shelia Belgrave and Christine Giscombe invite you to step away from the noise and join us for a transformative weekend retreat:

Over three days, we will gently explore:

• Mother–daughter patterns and their silent impact
• The orphaned, abandoned/rejected and crushed spirit
• Your Mother/Daughter Story
• The courage to forgive—the pathway to healing
• Healing the places you’ve never had permission to speak about
• Becoming the daughter God created you to be

You will experience:Safe, guided conversations
Quiet time for reflection, rest, and solitude
A nurturing space to reconnect with God and yourself

Yvette McDonald is a passionate leader and advocate dedicated to empowering women and building stronger communities. As the Founder and CEO of JustBe, Yvette has created a space where women can take time for themselves, grow in confidence, and celebrate their unique gifts.
Since launching in March 2019, JustBe has offered inspiring events and activities that bring women together to relax, laugh, and learn. Yvette’s work is grounded in her deep faith and her belief in the power of connection and encouragement.
In addition to supporting women, Yvette is committed to helping seniors feel included and valued, organising events that address loneliness and foster a sense of belonging. Her initiatives, such as Gather & Grow, Moments4Seniors and Walk & Talk, reflect her dedication to creating opportunities for personal growth and community engagement.
Through her faith-driven leadership and commitment to uplifting others, Yvette McDonald continues to inspire change, empower women, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those she serves.

Revd Dr. Sheila A. Belgrave

Revd Dr. Sheila A. Belgrave is a passionate leader, preacher, and visionary dedicated to empowering lives, building communities, and advancing the Church's mission in a rapidly changing world. With a distinguished career spanning the Civil Service and Local Authorities, Sheila has held senior roles, including CEO and non-executive director, leaving a legacy of excellence and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
As the founder of EmpowHer to Rise, Soul Sisters Women’s Ministries, and transformative programs in Kenya, Sheila provides mentorship, education, and spiritual empowerment to women, children, and young people. Her work in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion fosters cultures of belonging and drives positive change in both public and private sectors.
A Pr*son chaplain and lecturer specializing in Eschatology and Church History, Sheila inspires hope, restores faith, and equips future leaders with theological insights. Honored with the 2024 Wise Woman Award for Ministerial Leadership, her life and ministry reflect unwavering faith and servant leadership, anchored by the belief that "Only what you do for Christ will last."
Through her tireless efforts, Sheila continues to transform lives, uplift communities, and inspire others to rise with purpose and faith.

Motivational Speaker, Coach & Mentor
Christine Giscombe

Christine Giscombe is a motivational speaker, certified Emotional Intelligence Relationship Coach, and multi-award-winning mentor. With over 15 years of mentoring experience, she has empowered people of all ages to move from negativity to positivity, helping them face challenges, address fears, and celebrate their true selves. She is the founder of Born to Excel®️, a platform dedicated to inspiring, equipping, and empowering women globally.
Christine developed the transformative Mother & Daughter Conversations®️ programme, which examines how the mother-daughter relationship impacts personal growth and identity. Using trauma-informed and person-centred approaches, coupled with emotional intelligence tools, she helps reconnect fractured relationships while celebrating healthy, nurturing bonds. This programme offers seminars, workshops, and events that bring healing, restoration, and a voice to shared experiences.
Christine also mentors for the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in Jamaica and the Santander Women in Business Programme.
