Please join us on Saturday, August 19 at the Carriage House Theater for part the Just Kin Arts Festival, which includes:-a Marketplace & Mixer featuring local artists, food vendors, community organizations, & live DJ sets from 3:30-5:30 pm and 7-8 pm
-the official opening of "Movement/Making", an exhibition curated from the personal collections of artists & organizers involved in local immigrant rights movements
-a screening of "Breaking Bread & Borders: Conversations about Food, Migration, & Home" (2020) moderated by Claudine Constant and produced by the Connecticut UndocuFund from 3:30-5:30 pm
-a poetry reading with Patrick Rico Williams at 5:30 pm
-a moderated conversation about the role of the arts & artists in movements for queer & migrant justice led by danilo machado and featuring Jesús I. Valles, Leticia Cotto, and Vanesa Suarez from 5:45-7:00 pm
-a live performance of Jesús I. Valles's (Un)Documents at 8 pm
