Come and enjoy some special times with other Lifelong Learners members at one of the favorite attractions in Mankato for younger children.
We will with begin with a very short introduction to the museum and a brief slide show of the Prairie Gardens’ plants and pollinators from spring through late summer.
This will be followed by a tour of the outdoor exhibits including the newly expanded butterfly house with a caterpillar nursery, a chrysalis corner, and the butterflies.
We will then return inside to tour the exhibits there and hear from LLL member, Pam W. and the other Oakie Group sewing volunteers, who stitch many of the items for child play.
The event will culminate with a tour of the late summer prairie gardens by two other LLL members and museum volunteers, Jim R. and Terry S.
This event is free to all members (max. enrollment of 24).
