So ends another amazing Just Dance season! Summer solstice is upon us and, as always, we will be taking a break until September. For our season finale event, we will be graced by two fabulous out-of-town guest dj’s ✨
Amber Wolf Moon & Mossy Tree are a dream team power couple that regularly perform sets together. Founders of 'Dance Portal’, a weekly ecstatic dance event in Nelson, their ceremonial, supportive offerings are focused around heart connection, the sacred, unity, regulation, embodiment, intentional music and fun! Together, their style is worldly, transcendent, primal, playful and always coming back to organic sounds with an emphasis on a variety of house music.
They will be joined by our trusty co-resident dj, Raghunath Khe, who will deliver a plethora of newly emerging organic electronic vibrations from some of our planets most innovative and compelling producers, musicians, and composers. An intuited flow of futuristic global sounds from the ground+up, exploring a range of rhythm, expression, and evolving intensity.

:: AMBER WOLF MOON ::
Alongside DJ’ing, amber is a Somatic Therapist that brings in a trauma-informed way of facilitating from the heart that is gentle, yet powerful to keep the nervous system regulated/co-regulated where community can feel safe to be their authentic self. She has been devoted to ecstatic dance in the community and facilitating for the past decade in Nelson and world-wide. Along with being a Yoga Teacher, Embodiment Guide, Registered Counsellor & Womb Healer.
:: MOSSY TREE ::
Mossy Tree is a passionate DJ & Sound Healer bringing in sounds from around the world and channeling with his many instruments : handpan, didgeridoo, jaw-harp, tongue drum, flutes, kalimba and more. He has been DJing for many years offering ecstatic dance and performing at many festivals including regional Burning Mans around BC. He is also an empowering Facilitator of Sacred Ceremonies and heart offerings.
:: RAGHUNATH KHE ::
Raghunath Khe has been an intrinsic part of the evolving conscious / fringe dance culture for more than 25 years. An innovative composer, producer, and dj, they are interested in the transformative and transcendent properties of music, movement, bhajan, and community. They have previously released four albums, earlier ones under the moniker Haitchc, and have composed multiple original film scores. Raghunath is a formal brahmana initiate within the brahma-madhva-gaudiya sampradaya (lineage) who is committed to practice, having spent several uninterrupted years in their youth as a brahmachari monk serving in temples both in Canada and India. Regularly performing, teaching, and orchestrating events, they are affiliated with the Waxing Moon collective, Intention Gathering, and are a co-resident dj and organizer at Vancouver's long-running Just Dance night. In addition, Raghunath contributes musically and otherwise to various festivals and gatherings locally and internationally. A long-time radio presence, they are currently the host and producer of Mantra Radio on CiTR 101.9fm in Vancouver.
:: VJ KASHUB ::
Kashub's name stems from the tribe of his ancestry situated along what is now the Baltic Coast of Poland. The tribe, now dispersed and displaced, lived peacefully isolated amidst sand dunes and swamps along the Baltic since before the dawn of the State of the Teutonic Order some 800 years ago. Kashub is passionately dedicated to augmenting dancefloors with beautiful, lush, and meaningful visuals. Driven by this, he intuitively syncs his artistic output to the shifting mood of the room and the evolving music. He hopes to help elevate the immersive experience, making every event a synesthetic journey where sight and sound merge.

Just Dance is a positive party community event. It offers a unique opportunity to dance to an eclectic selection of music from around the world. Held every week Just Dance can be described as a refreshing alternative to the bar and club scene. It is a place where you are free to be yourself, connect with a vibrant community and dance the way you want!.
Just Dance is also a non-profit organization and has donated thousands of dollars to local charities over the last 31 years. http://justdance.ca/
This event is held on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Musqueam people.
