For JD’s annual winter solstice bash, we are delighted to welcome back EMOG!
Well known for his lush cosmic-dub original compositions, and exuberant DJ sets, for Just Dance he'll be bringing something a little special: a delectable offering of exquisite tribal house rhythms, capped off with a beautiful, cushed-out landing of organic downtempo originals ✨🔥✨
JD co-resident dj Raghunath Khe will play the first half of the evening, initiating the sound from the ground + up, skillfully inching the energy progressively higher into the peak of the dance. Anticipate a sophisticated and vibrant mix of highly-danceable vibrations from some of the world’s most pertinent producers and musicians. Delicious basslines, ecstatic rhythms, and blissed-out frequencies.

Emile Vartanian, better known by his stage name EMOG, is a psy-dub music producer and a prominent DJ from Vancouver, British Columbia. Born with a passion for music, Emile began his musical journey at an early age, learning to play multiple instruments, including guitar, piano, and bass. Over time, his love for music led him to explore various genres. EMOG is known for his high-energy performances, blending live instrumentation with electronic beats to create a dynamic and captivating sound. He explores deep progressive landscapes riddled with organic bass, and enhanced with world ethnic influences. In addition to his work as a musician, he is also an event organizer with Gaia Sound Music Events. He performs often in Vancouver, and also internationally at larger festivals, such as Envision in Costa Rica, Shambhala Music Festival, Astral Harvest in Canada, and many more.
Prepare yourself to be set adrift in a sea of hidden treasures.

:: RAGHUNATH KHE ::
Raghunath Khe has been an intrinsic part of the evolving conscious / fringe dance culture for more than 25 years. An innovative composer, producer, and dj, they are interested in the transformational properties of music, movement, bhajan, and community. They have previously released four albums, earlier ones under the moniker Haitchc, and have composed multiple original film scores. Raghunath is a formal brahmana initiate within the brahma-madhva-gaudiya sampradaya (lineage), having spent several uninterrupted years as a monk studying and serving in temples both in Canada and India. They belong to the sodalities of bhakti, tantra, and ashtanga, and through familial succession, draoidh healing practice. Regularly performing, teaching, and orchestrating events, they are affiliated with the Waxing Moon collective, Intention Gathering, and are a co-resident dj and organizer at Vancouver's long-running Just Dance night. In addition, Raghunath contributes musically and otherwise to various festivals and gatherings locally and internationally. A long-time radio presence, they are currently the host and producer of Mantra Radio on CiTR 101.9fm in Vancouver.
:: VJ KASHUB ::
Kashub's name stems from the tribe of his ancestry situated along what is now the Baltic Coast of Poland. The tribe, now dispersed and displaced, lived peacefully isolated amidst sand dunes and swamps along the Baltic since before the dawn of the State of the Teutonic Order some 800 years ago. Kashub is passionately dedicated to augmenting dancefloors with beautiful, lush, and meaningful visuals. Driven by this, he intuitively syncs his artistic output to the shifting mood of the room and the evolving music. He hopes to help elevate the immersive experience, making every event a synesthetic journey where sight and sound merge.
