Come celebrate Juneteenth with us! This year marks our 20th Juneteenth celebration! https://nbmaa.org/events/juneteenth-celebrationThe day begins on Saturday, June 19, at 11 a.m. with a flag-raising and the Black National Anthem—to be performed by Aleecya Foreman. There will be drumming, dance, and poetry performances throughout the day. There will also be local food vendors, and we encourage you to enjoy a picnic in Walnut Hill Park. NBMAA art activities will be available for children and families.
Community organizations and vendors will be present to share about their mission and how you can get involved in the community. The celebration will end at 4 p.m. We encourage you to show off your own heritage and wear cultural clothing!
