Junnar Durgotsav is a lively celebration that pays tribute to the iconic forts or "durgs" in Junnar.

Every year this festival—where "durg" means fort and "utsav" means celebration—draws in history buffs and adventure lovers alike. It’s all about exploring the amazing forts in the area soaking up the rich culture and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. It’s a perfect opportunity to connect with our roots and experience the beauty of our heritage!

Join us for an exciting and immersive adventure at the Shivneri Fort as part of the Junnar Durgotsav festival on 5th January 2025! This unique event offers history enthusiasts trekkers and adventure lovers a chance to explore Maharashtra’s iconic forts while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The trek will begin at 8:00 AM at Shivneri Fort. You will start by exploring the fort’s famous gates doors and key historical sites all while learning about its fascinating history from our expert guide. After the tour we’ll have an engaging Q&A session where participants can answer the questions about the trek and the fort’s history. The participant with the best answer will be awarded a special prize!

For a one-time fee of ₹399 you will have access to the entire trek across all seven forts included in the Durgotsav celebration. This fee includes a commemorative T-shirt a cap and a finisher medal to remember your journey. Please note the fee does not cover transportation food water or any other personal expenses. Participants are advised to come prepared with their own supplies for the trek.
