Junk Annotating: A Creative Book Workshop for Independent Bookstore Day

In honor of Independent Bookstore Day, Handcrafts and Hardbacks presents a unique pop-up event, and we are thrilled to offer the Junk Annotating workshop.

Do you love the aesthetic of a well-loved, heavily annotated book but feel intimidated to start? This class is designed to help you overcome the fear of "ruining" your books and instead, view them as a canvas for your reading journey.

What is included with your $15 ticket:

- All crafting supplies: Access to a communal table stocked with high-quality stickers (aesthetic, bookish, and fun), a rainbow of colorful pens and highlighters, and a variety of colorful annotation tabs and sticker.

- Expert guidance: Tips and tricks on how to create a "junk" style that reflects your personality.

What attendees need to bring:

- A book to annotate: Please bring a book from your personal collection. If you want to pick up something fresh for the occasion, we will have books available for purchase at the pop-up location.

Schedule:

- April 25th | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

- Note: This workshop is part of the larger Handcrafts and Hardbacks Independent Bookstore Day Pop-up. Feel free to arrive early or stay late to explore the other vendors!
