Come join us for a day of horses, rodeo, family, and a whole lot of fun!
The Juniper Fire Junior Rodeo is back for another year, and we’re excited to give kids of all experience levels a chance to get in the arena, try their hand at rodeo, and have a great time with their horses and friends.
Whether your kiddo has been rodeoing for years or is still learning the ropes, there’s a place for them here! ❤️
🐴 NOVICE EVENTS
For kids who are still learning and gaining confidence in the arena:
• Ages 5–7
• Ages 8–10
• Ages 11–14
• Ages 14–18
🏆 ADVANCED EVENTS
Pee Wee — Ages 5–9
Girls Junior — Ages 10–13
Girls Senior — Ages 14–18
Boys Junior — Ages 10–13
Boys Senior — Ages 14–18
Advanced boys’ events will include barrels, steer daubing and goats, with the roping/steer events using a mechanical steer.
🤠 LITTLE BUCKAROOS
We haven’t forgotten our littlest rodeo kids!
Under 5 Youth Events will include gymkhana-style events like barrels and figure 8s.
🐎 WANT TO PLAY TOO?
We’ve got something for the adults and parents, too!
Super Seniors can sign up to participate, and we’ll also have Exhibition Team Roping and Exhibition Breakaway Roping.
❤️ RODEO FOR EVERYONE
Our goal with the Juniper Fire Junior Rodeo is simple: give kids a place to ride, compete, learn, make friends, and feel like they belong.
We know not every kid comes into the arena with the same experience, the same horse, or the same opportunities. That’s why we offer both novice and advanced divisions and use a “pay what you can” registration model.
This event is made possible through the support of our volunteers, sponsors, families, and our nonprofit, Horsin’ Around Hope Haven. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for kids and families to experience the confidence, connection, and joy that come from working with horses.
