Great Yarmouth Basketball Club’s Junior Team Trials for the 2026/27 season take place on Saturday 4 July at East Norfolk Sixth Form College.
Trials are free to attend and are open to players in School Years 5–13, as they will be from September 2026, who are interested in joining one of our junior basketball teams next season.
Please note: this event covers the full trials day. Players should attend the trial time for their age group only.
Trial times:
U12 – School Years 5–7
9:30am – 11:30am
U14 – School Years 8–9
11:00am – 1:00pm
U16 – School Years 10–11
12:30pm – 2:30pm
U18 – School Years 11–13
2:00pm – 4:00pm
Parents/carers should attend the first 30 minutes of their child’s trial session for a short presentation about the club, the team pathway and next steps. After this, the on-court trial will be closed to spectators so coaches can run the session and assess players fairly.
Great Yarmouth Basketball Club offers both development and performance team pathways, so trials are not just about current ability. Coaches will also be looking for attitude, effort, coachability, commitment and how players respond in a team environment.
All players must book their free place in advance.
