Join us to watch a practice, ask some questions, and learn more about the 509 Junior Roller Derby league and how to be a part of this amazing community!
Who can join?
Anyone between the age of 5 and 18.
Do I need to know how to skate?
No skating experience is required! We have great coaches that teach you everything you need to know.
What do I need?
If you plan on being a skating member of our league you will eventually need to purchase your own gear. We will go over what type of skates and protective gear to buy and where to buy them.
What if I don't want to hit people?
Roller derby bouts take a lot of people working together on and off skates. Once you learn the basics, you can learn to referee and become a skating or non-skating official. We would love to have you as a part our team even if you never want to wear a pair of skates.
