It is my pleasure to announce the start of the eleventh annual Junior Ranger Day Camps at Burgess Falls State Natural Area. Join the Burgess Falls Park Rangers for a week of fun! Junior rangers will explore topics including the history of the park, our environment, and native wildlife. Some of the activities we hope to do will be hiking, campfire cooking, plant and wildlife identification, animal skull identification, kayak and canoeing, and historical demonstrations. Summer Day Camp is for children ages 6 -10. Each day we will meet at the picnic pavilion at 8:30am and end at 11:30am.Registration is required for this program and can be done here: https://tnstateparks.com/parks/event_details/burgess-falls/#/?event=junior-ranger-spring-break-camp-june-6th-10th.
**All campers should wear sturdy shoes for hiking and weather appropriate clothing as we will be outside much of the time. Campers should also bring a small backpack with a snack and water for the day.
*There is a nonrefundable fee of $30 per camper. Once you have pre-registered, the park will send you a registration packet that must be completed and returned to the Burgess Falls Park Office via email, mail, or in person. Registration will not be complete without all the required paperwork.
