The Junior League of Peoria (JLP) will celebrate its 90th anniversary with the unveiling of an honorary “Junior League Way” street sign on Wednesday, March 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. with the sign located at the intersection of University Street and Lake Avenue.The unveiling commemorates a milestone in the organization’s history: March 5, 1936, when the Junior League of Peoria became an official member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). For nine decades, JLP has remained committed to developing the potential of women and improving the Peoria community through effective action and leadership.
