Half Term Family Workshops | Tuesday 31st May and Wednesday 1 JuneJoin artist Luke Wade for a fun and playful workshop creating collagraph print self-portraits on 31 May.
Collagraphy is a printmaking technique where cardboard is used to make an image which is rolled with ink and printed onto paper. In this workshop, you will be drawing a portrait (either of yourself with a mirror, or that of a partner) and transferring this template to recycled cardboard to make your prints.
On 1 June artist Kate Newington will lead a collage portrait-making workshop inspired by early twentieth century Cubist collages and the ways in which artists see and portray themselves as seen in ‘Me, Myself, I: Artists’ Self-Portraits’, an exhibition that will be showing at the RWA between 2nd May – 19 June 2022.
Suitable for 7-12 year olds.
Parents/Carers must remain in the building but are encouraged to enjoy the café, galleries and RWA shop while their children are in the workshop. Parents/Carers will receive complimentary exhibition entry.
