WITH CYRUS CAMPBELL, MOHIT DUBEY AND JONAH MINKUSJung Mudra is the musical moniker of Mohit Dubey, an Indian-German artist raised in Santa Fe (O’gah P’ogeh) and now based in Oakland (Ohlone land). His sound lives somewhere between folk, indie, and soul — “folk with a beat and a little bit of soul,” as Van Morrison might say — with lyrics that explore time, place, and relationships through a warm, nostalgic lens.
Backed by a talented rhythm section featuring Cyrus Campbell on bass and Jonah Minkus on drums, Jung Mudra’s songs carry the imprint of landscapes — from the mesas of New Mexico to the California coast — and the emotional terrain of love, loss, and becoming.
Mohit’s debut EP shadowave was released in May 2025, accompanied by a mini-tour, and a full-length record is currently in the works.
