JUNETEENTH WEEK EVENT - INTERFAITH PRAYER SERVICE ON SUNDAY, JUNE 11, 2023
Join us for a special interfaith prayer service to celebrate Juneteenth Week starting on Sunday, June 11, 2023, and again on June 18, 2023. The INTERFAITH PRAYER SERVICE will start at 11:00 AM PDT. City-wide, the community may come together at the McGee Av Baptist Church, at 1640 Stuart St, or at their own place of worship to pray for peace, protection for our children, community healing, equal justice under the law and to remember the hope and the promise of emancipation.
Juneteenth is a significant day in American history that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. The INTERFAITH PRAYER SERVICE will bring together people from different faiths to pray for continued progress towards equality and justice for all.
