Immerse yourself, eat and drink what the locals love in a neighborhood full of history, character and mouthwatering stops that will leave your bellies full and thirst quenched. This food trail features “Oprah’s favorite chicken”, Southern food, Ethiopian food, sweet treats and unique non-alcoholic beverages. Food tastings are a mix of bit size to large hors d’oeuvre. We’ll showcase local businesses who have grown roots in Seattle Central District (CD). Along our walk, we’ll take a peep into the past, while viewing archived pictures of the neighborhood. Hear about the Pharmacist and neighborhood store, Jordan’s Drugs and Grocery Center. Learn about Garfield High School, a famous landmark where alumnus like Quincy Jones, Bruce Lee, and Jim Hendricks were students including other historical sites.
