A Juneteenth Event: A Community Panel discussion about the journey of Freedom from Africa to America to Pan-Africanism
About this Event

On Saturday, June 10, 2023 @ 11a.m. the Carver Library will host Juneteenth at the Carver Library, a community educational celebration. It will be a great time to kickoff the celebration of Juneteenth with a panel discussion about the African American journey for freedom from Africa to America and beyond.

The panel group will lead a community discussion on the role of Pan Africanism in the struggle for freedom in America past, present, and future.

The panel will include: Brother Caleb Alexander, Mr. Clement Sullivan, Baba Aundar Maat, and others

In addition, as part of the Juneteenth Celebration, the Carver Library will unveil a new educational display and provide refreshments.
