This traveling exhibition, "Every(body) Wants to Be a Showgirl: Juneteenth Jubilee Edition," celebrates the artistry, innovation, and enduring legacy of Black burlesque performers across North America. Hosted by The Rose Academy of Burlesque, this multi-day cultural event honors the significant impact Black burlesque artists have had on American entertainment, fashion, nightlife, and performance history, often overlooked by institutions. Featuring over 100 Black performers from around the world, this immersive experience showcases costumes, archival materials, photography, video installations, and live programming, centering both legendary and contemporary artists shaping the future of burlesque. Curated by Aquarius Moon and presented in partnership with Infringement Productions and Metro Cabaret Club, the exhibition uplifts Black performance traditions while creating space for celebration, education, visibility, and community connection during Juneteenth weekend.

This immersive two-day experience uplifts Black and Brown performers through burlesque, drag, dance, movement, and theatrical storytelling.Join nationally celebrated instructors and performers for empowering workshops designed for all experience levels.
