Juneteenth Improv at The Highwire Center!

This Friday night, find us at the funniest corner in Highlandtown to celebrate Juneteenth. Every show is full of surprises.

Who All Gon' Be There: In the black community, asking "who all gon' be there" is a preface for whether someone will attend an event. This all-Black team from D.C. will spin stories from an audience story from a time that "who all gon' be there?"

Not One Of Your Little Friends: Black parents have a saying - "we are not one of your little friends." Even though your parents might not be, this D.C.-based team is one of your little friends and will show you by connecting characters and memories.

What is an improv show, exactly?

Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!

A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!

The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv's home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more!
