Juneteenth Houston's 5th Annual Celebrate Freedom Fest

As you know, we have been experiencing significant rainfall, and the forecast indicates that it is expected to continue throughout the weekend.

Because of this, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's festival for Saturday, June 6. The grounds are simply too saturated for us to safely and successfully host the event.

While we are certainly disappointed, the safety of our community, guests, vendors, performers, and staff must come first.

The good news is that we are already working to pivot many of the festival activities to the Emancipation Park Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19 at 4pm. We've updated the date here. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue celebrating together and will share additional details as plans are finalized.
