Join Dr. Raymond Bahr (founder of the Canton History Project) and members of the Canton Anti-Racism Alliance on a symbolic Juneteenth Freedom Walk on June 19 from the Frederick Douglass History Panels outside the Tindeco Wharf Apartments to the Frederick Douglass Historical Marker Sign outside Sprouts Market (approx. 1 mile). The walk follows the path of his 1838 escape from enslavement.
Read the markers, reflect on Canton’s history, and read and think on Dr. Heather Cox Richardson’s 14 reflections.
Beginning at 10:30 am at the Frederick Douglass History Panels at 2809 Boston St, coffee and conversation at DiPasquale's Italian Marketplace to follow.
