About this Event

As part of Juneteenth Houston's official 19 Days of Juneteenth, Houston Freedmen's Town Conservancy brings back our annual free, all-day celebration honoring 161 years of freedom, community, and cultural legacy in the place where freedom first took root in Houston.
To get free tickets or learn more about Juneteenth Fest 161: Homebase, please visit www.juneteenthfest161.org.

This year's festival will include live performances from A-Major Band and DJ Tazz, the Freedmen's Town Talent Show hosted by Tatianna Mott, Zumba, line dancing, food trucks, family-friendly games, vendor activations, face painting, workshops, and a special Fireside Chat with Houston native, actor, and activist Kendrick Sampson, co-founder of BLD PWR, fresh off his acclaimed portrayal of Quincy Jones in the blockbuster Michael Jackson biopic "Michael." Note: Fireside Chat tickets are $40 and are not included in general admission.
