About this Event

Celebrate Juneteenth at Make.Do. with a bit of community quilting – Kawandi quilting, that is!

Here’s how it will work – Stop by anytime 12-6pm to add your very own pieces to our quilt using Kawandi hand-stitching techniques. (We’ll have fabric to choose from or bring a few squares from your stash!) Don’t worry if you’ve never done this technique before, we will teach you! While you’re here, you can grab a snack, learn the history of this African & Indian Diasporic craft, and why we celebrate Juneteenth.
