Juneteenth has always been about more than a date — it's about people coming together, honoring where we've been, and celebrating how far we've come. That's exactly what we're doing on June 20th and we want YOU there. 🥁✨
We're bringing the community together at Sozo Healing House — a Black owned holistic refillery and boutique right here in Tempe, Arizona. Two Black owned, Arizona Native businesses coming together to hold space for something real. That alone says everything. ☕
Here's what's going down — we're hosting a Juneteenth Coffee & Craft Drum Circle and it is going to be a whole vibe. Sip from our coffee counter, feel the energy of the room, and get your hands on a drum because this is not a performance you watch. Shawntele Treasure will be there to guide us but the magic comes from everyone drumming together. That's what a real drum circle is. That's what community looks like. 🥁
Then we create. You'll walk away with your own handmade culturally patterned pillow case or canvas — no experience needed, just show up and let it flow. 🎨
All are welcome at this one. Every background, every experience level, every age. Bring yourself, bring a friend, bring your neighbor.
