The City of Bedford is teaming up with the Alpha Beta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to host a Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 12 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Old Bedford School, 2400 School Lane.The free event will feature various performances, including the dance group Eloquent Movement, Brown Girls do Ballet, music from Extended PLAY, and storytelling from Oba William King. The Juneteenth Celebration will also feature lawn games, bounce houses, crafts, and a Juneteenth-themed scavenger hunt (for all ages!) with prizes. Food trucks will be on-site serving up delicious goodies.
This event is free to attend. Just bring $$ for the food trucks, if you'd like to purchase food.
