Juneteenth Celebration Bike Ride

Come join Major Taylor Bay Area and Sports Basement for the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration Bike Ride(s)!!! That's right! We are doing a faster group ride and shortly after that a community ride up to Sports Basement.

There is a slight change to the day this year. Rather than a loop starting and ending at Sports Basement, everyone will meet at:

Brooklyn Basin

288 9th Ave, Oakland, CA 94606

For those looking to do a fast ride please meet at 8:00am and be ready to roll at 8:30am. This is a no drop ride, but please know this is a faster paced ride for active cyclists. It should take about an hour to complete.

STRAVA ROUTE for the 8:30am "Minor Pain" Ride. 20 miles and 145ft of climbing.

When that ride is over everyone will meet at 10:00am at Brooklyn Basin and do a community ride to Sports Basement Berkeley. This is a no drop community ride at a mellower pace. It will probably take about an hour as well.

When we get to Sports Basement Berkeley there will be a party with music, food, vendors, raffle prizes, and more! If you don't ride, or have friends/family that don't ride, but still want to celebrate with everyone please meet at Sports Basement Berkeley at 11am.
