Join CMAH, Senator Champion, Representative Richardson and a host of others for a day of community and celebration! On Thursday, June 15th we will be having a Juneteenth Celebration at The MN State Capitol in St. Paul from 12pm-4pm. This is a day of Celebration, Community, Culture & Creativity and all are welcome to join!
We will begin the afternoon with a Press Conference at 12pm Noon in light of the Juneteenth Bill passing during this Legislative Session and being signed into law. 2023 Bill Authors Senator Bobby Joe Champion and Representative Ruth Richardson ensured the Bill made it across the finish line this Session, carrying on the work of so many others over the years. For that we are excited and have something to CELEBRATE!
Additionally, we will have a Kid’s Zone with fun for all ages, Informational Tables from a number of State and Community Agencies, a Vendor Marketplace curated by The Dream Shop Mpls & The Black Market.
We will also have a performance by KNOWN MPLS, a local choir of young adults and teens Directed by Courtland Pickens as well as a Live DJ spinning tunes throughout the day from KMOJ Radio!
Last but not least, Ralph’s Rib Crib will be on site with the BBQ and have plenty of options available for purchase so come ready for lunch!
