About this Event
This event uses the shared experience of live music, dance and art to bring the community together while promoting art and health equity in Hillsborough County. The event will take place in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and allow access to Tampa’s Riverwalk along the Hillsborough River.
Juneteenth Arts, History & Equity Celebration was conceived through a positive collaboration between organizations, members of the community and businesses including The Tampa Museum of Art, Gasparilla Music Foundation, Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, WEDU, The Tampa Art Alliance, CAN Community Health, the Glazer Children's Museum, The Gobioff Foundation, The Tampa Bay History Center, and Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival.
Saturday, June 17th will feature well-known, national music acts as well as local musicians and dancers and cuisine from local restaurants representing the county's diverse culture. As well as reduced TMA admission and an array of artisan vendors as well as featuring activations from our community partners.
Sunday, June 18th will offer FREE admission to the museum as well as special tours, story times in the gallery, family portraits and recipe swap. "Snapshots of Courage" Exhibit by Moffitt as well as artisan vendors and community partner activations in Curtis Hixon.
Monday, June 19th will offer FREE admission to the Tampa Museum of Art and Tampa Bay History Center as well as other events and festivals around the city.
