June Private Pay Psychotherapists Meetup

Hi Community!
We're hosting an event for (mostly) private pay psychotherapists next Friday, 6/12. Here are the deets:
June PDX *Private Pay* Psychotherapists Network + Connect Event Info
Wanna make some new therapist friends? Looking to expand your private pay referral network?
Friendly, informal cafe connection time that (hopefully) won’t cause too much social anxiety! ;)
I’ll bring markers, pens and stickers so we can each make name tags and put our website/contact info on it (if you like). We’ll then do a bit of therapist ‘speed connecting’ to quickly get to know each other in pairs. I’ll offer optional suggested question sheets so you don’t have to stress about what to talk about with your therapist ‘date’. The rest of the time will likely include chatting in small groups and introducing yourself to people you haven’t yet met.
Space is limited. Google form RSVP required to attend event. I will close the forms once the event is full. Registration form is here: https://forms.gle/1e5dY83rFgq3ydcA6
If you're not already part of the PDX Therapists Network + Connect google group and you want to be, go here to sign up! The google group is where we announce all our events. It's also an opportunity for community members to share referrals and more. If you're already receiving this email directly from Jen and PDX Therapists Network + Connect, you're already in the group!
Who is the event for?:
- Psychotherapists with already established private pay practices (80-100% of your caseload should be PP).
- If you're an aspiring PP clinician, you're welcome to come to our larger community events. This smaller event is for folks who already have PP practices.
When:
Friday, June 12th @4:15pm - 5:45pm. Please arrive by 4:15pm and purchase a drink or snack so we can get started with the structured part of the event.
Where: Outdoor space in SE. For exact location, please register using the form.
What / Event Schedule:
4:15pm- get your beverage if you haven’t done so already, settle in, make your name tag, put on some stickers :).
4:30pm and onward- ‘speed connecting' + potentially later chatting in small groups.
Please arrive by 4:15pm. It's fine to leave early if you need to. If you're going to be late for unexpected reasons, email me.
Business Cards + Exchanging Contact Info:
- Bring some if you have ‘em! We’ll create a table for people to leave a few business cards (please pick up any leftover cards before you leave).
- I encourage people to write their website on their name tag so that people who want to can take a picture of it instead of exchanging a physical business card.
No-Show + Late Cancel Event Policy:
- Due to issues with no-shows at previous gatherings, we will be keeping a sign-in sheet for gatherings going forward.
If you no-show for a limited-capacity event (all the ones at Harlow, for example) twice, you’ll be removed from the google group and will no longer be notified via the group about upcoming gatherings.
- If you cancel under 24 hours for any reason that’s not an unexpected illness or a true emergency, the same policy applies. It’s simply too difficult to fill cancelled spots last minute.
RSVP’s + Cancellations:
Due to space limitations, RSVPs are Required. Saying you’re “going” or “interested” on Facebook is welcome, but doesn’t constitute a formal RSVP. Please fill out the google form to secure your spot: https://forms.gle/1e5dY83rFgq3ydcA6
Please let me know ASAP if you need to cancel so that I can open the space to others. Email me here: [email protected]
If you are not able to fill out a google form, it's because the event is full. If you successfully completed a google form and are a practicing private pay psychotherapist, you are good to go for the event.
I will email the group several days in advance of the event if there is room for new registrations. I am *not* keeping a waitlist.
