Join us at the Rutland Pagan Moot for a gentle evening of midsummer crafting, reflection, and community as we create our own Willow Solar Crosses ☀️🌿
The Solar Cross is an ancient symbol of the Sun, the seasons, and the turning Wheel of the Year. Traditionally linked to midsummer fire festivals, it represents renewal, protection, and the cycle of release and rebirth.
Using willow, ribbons, herbs, and natural decorations, we will craft our own Solar Crosses and add intentions for all we are ready to leave behind as the Wheel turns onward.
You may choose to burn your cross privately at Solstice, or bring it along to our Solstice BBQ on the 20th to place upon the communal fire.
No crafting experience needed, just come as you are.
Tea, spuds, community, creativity, and a little midsummer magic await 🌞🔥
