June Member Meetup

We hope you join us at this very special Member Meetup centering the juried exhibition Change, produced by the Future Arts Workers. This member meetup is exclusive to ArtsWorcester artist members, regardless of if they have a work currently on view.

The exhibition focuses on many thought-provoking topics within the context of people, places and society. Artworks explore technology, politics, activism, feminism, environmentalism, and the impacts of all of these on our identities.

For this meetup, artist members are invited to take part in a new “process circle” activity. Gathering in small groups, participants will discuss topics and themes related to the artworks, allowing them to dive deeper into the meaning beneath the visuals.

Whether you have an artwork in the exhibition or not, this will be a great time to converse, connect, and walk away with meaningful insight about fellow members’ perspectives of sociopolitical change.

Light refreshments will be available at the meetup. Bringing business cards, pamphlets, flyers, or information the day of the event to plug your art, businesses, or other initiative is welcomed and encouraged!

Change: A Juried Exhibition occupies the Davis Art Gallery. Elevator and stairs are accessible up to the third floor and chairs will be available. There will be time to additionally explore Still: A Juried Exhibition, Bridey McGlynn: Expanded Bodies, and Caityln Marsh: Lithological downstairs in the East and West Galleries.

Parking for this event is available at the Worcester Public Library (McGrath) Lot, Federal Plaza Garage, Worcester Common Garage, and Pearl-Elm Garage. Metered street parking is also available. On weekends visitors may park in the Printers Building parking lot free of charge. Please do not park in the lot across the street from the Printers Building; you will be immediately towed.
