Here is a bio on our speaker for the June 10th meeting at the PCCA Clubhouse in Brewer at 5:30pm.
Dr Melissa Flye is a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Maine in Orono, in the Dept of Wildlife, Fisheries and Conservation Biology. Her work focuses on the social and ecological aspects of protected species conservation and management programs. Melissa has previously worked in regulartory enforcement at the Maine Dept of Environmental Protection and in biological research and monitoring in both the public and private sector. She is passionate about using holistic social-ecological system approaches to address applied conservation and communication issues.
