Artist Statement
Being outdoors is an invitation for me: Will I be present to all that is around me? Will I welcome the opportunity to see and experience beauty: its colors, smells, sounds and feelings? Will I quiet myself to the present moment? When I accept these invitations, I encounter each place in a deep and meaningful way. I also feel grounded, lifted out of the stresses of everyday life. I connect with God in those moments, becoming aware and at peace with God's vastness and my smallness.
Each of these painting's represent places and times that were meaningful to me. It is my hope that through the composition, color, light and other details, you will be able to experience the invitation to enter into the unique sense of place that each one holds. Take your time, step into each place, and experience its beauty.
You can find Jenni’s exhibit in the Phoenix Underground Gallery.

Lindsey Toot
Kansas City, KS
Artist Biography:
Lindsey Toot is a recent graduate of the University of Kansas's Illustration and Animation Design program. She plans to continue her illustration work while also engaging in freelance projects and creating preproduction work for an animation studio in Kansas City.
Artist Statement:
For this project, I wanted "In Bloom" to illustrate the visual variety and changes within the seasons throughout the 12 months of the year. Each month features different organic shapes, color schemes, textures, and overall feelings. Birth month flowers have always intrigued me, symbolizing the uniqueness of individuals, much like the bouquets I created. The short life cycle of many of these flowers represents change and rebirth into the next year. I chose to present these digital illustrations as vibrant risograph prints, as each reproduction of the image is printed differently, mirroring nature's organic imperfections.
You can find Lindsey’s exhibit in the Upper West Gallery of Phoenix Gallery.
