June Cookie Decorating Class

Come join us at for an evening of creativity and sweetness. In this hour long class, we'll cover the basics of sugar cookies, you'll get a royal icing and sugar cookie recipe, and we'll talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies! Everything you'll need is provided at class along with a live, in-person instructor.

You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! More details on refunds, credits, DIY Kits, and FAQs are below. This class is for the beginner cookier or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! And if you're just looking to have a little sugar-filled fun on a Friday night, you're welcome too! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, found yourself frustrated with royal icing, or are trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We will be doing a 4th of July themed set that tastes amazing and will look even better once you’ve learned all the basic skills to get started in sugar.

📦 We provide everything you'll need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - ☝ we just need YOU!

This class is on Friday, June 26th from 6pm- 7pm. 📅 Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating up to 15 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!

🧒You can also purchase a DIY add-on kit at check-out! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself! Heads up - you can purchase just the DIY kits at Eventbrite check-out, you are not required to attend a class to snag a DIY kit (you'll pick them up during the class though). 👇 More details below.

📦 Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! Our class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and we'll email you the class PowerPoint so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Class DIY Kits are assembled for you before your class starts, and you'll take them with you after class.

🎟️ Save money! You don't need to purchase an in-person class ticket to order a DIY Kit either! If you want to skip the in-person instruction, you can just order a DIY kit. It'll be ready for pick-up during the in-person class (6- 7PM), and you can swing by and snag it. (7330 George Washington Memorial Hwy Yorktown, Virginia 23692 | Suite D). They're a great option if you're lookin' for something to let the kids do at home or if our classes are sold out. 😭

Each Cookie Class DIY Kit includes:

• ✅ 4 Cookies
• ✅ 3 Icings
• ✅ A Toothpick (Scribe substitute)
• ✅ Sprinkles (if required)
• ✅ The Class PowerPoint steps (emailed)
• ✅ The Dough and Icing recipes (emailed)

⏰ How long can a kit last after I get home? Depending on how you store your icing (fridge vs freezer), your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies and icing keeps them fresh for a long time, but we recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home.

🗓️ If need to cancel 7+ days before class:

• If you can't make it because plans changed or if you’re sick prior to the 7-day refund cutoff, you can cancel for a full refund! To request a refund through Eventbrite, follow these steps. You can also email us at [email protected]

🗓️ If need to cancel 6 days before class starts:

• No sweat - life happens - you can transfer your ticket to a friend! Email us at [email protected] and let us know who will be coming in your place. That will also apply to a DIY Kit if you purchased one as well.

🚗 You can't make it the day of class, and you've email before class starts:

• Car troubles? Tunnel traffic? Email us before your class's start time. While we can't offer a refund or a credit, we can box up your class supplies and schedule a time for you to porch pick-up the box to decorate at home within 5 days of the end of class (this will be in Yorktown, VA). Note - we can't guarantee freshness for unsealed class cookies.

📨 You don't show up or email prior to class:

• We won’t be able to offer you a refund, credit, or porch pick-up. 😞 So please reach out to us before your class starts!

✌️ You purchased BOTH a Class Take-Home Kit and a Class Ticket and need to cancel:

• If you purchased both a class ticket and a take-home kit and emailed prior to the 7-day refund policy, we'll be happy to offer you a full refund. If it's after the 7-day cut-off, you can transfer your ticket and your DIY kit to a friend. If we don't hear from ya, the left-over product will be donated.

⚠️🥚 Allergens: Eggs, gluten, and nuts are present in the kitchen used to bake these cookies and icing. Please consider your allergies before registering.

🧀 Say Cheese! Photos are taken throughout class (and posted to our Facebook page so you can see them too). Camera shy? 📸 No sweat! Just let us know it's a camera no-no.

💵 Eventbrite Fees: Your ticket price includes your Eventbrite fees; 💵 however, Eventbrite does not refund its fees if you need to cancel. If you cancel your ticket for a refund, we'll give you a refund minus those Eventbrite fees - since we don't get this back either. Eventbrite keeps it regardless of whether you show up or cancel.😭

❄ If We Cancel Class: In the event of inclement weather or if an instructor is unable to make it to the scheduled class, you'll receive a GIANT apology and a full refund regardless of the cut-off time for refunds. Weather events are called on a case-by-case basis, but know we'll reach out to keep you updated if Mother Nature is havin' a bad day.
