This month's meeting features Dr. Mera, the Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center Infectious Disease Medical Director!
This meeting will be held at the Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center in Tahlequah, OK and snacks and drinks will be available!
Presenter: Dr. Mera
Presentation: Disorders: HCV Test and Treat, An Opportunity for Disease Elimination
Dr. Jorge Mera is the Director of Infectious Diseases for Cherokee Nation Health Services (CNHS), the largest tribally operated healthcare system in the United States. His efforts have been instrumental in the successful implementation of the Cherokee Nation Hepatitis C and HIV elimination programs. Dr. Mera is also an Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. He completed his fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Board Certified in Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Mera is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
