June CERT Communications Drill and Hike

June 13 – View of the Hollywood Sign. On the second Saturday of each month, we hike. This hike is available to all. Join us on Saturday, June 13th, at 8 am. Our Command Post will be at the parking lot next to Bronson Caves (3200 Canyon Dr), look for a blue popup, flag & radio antenna. At the Command Post we communicate with the search team and promote CERT & ACS. If you’re not ready for the hike, learn Command Post techniques and radio operations at the CP. The search team will start at the CP and hike up to the best view of the Hollywood Sign. This hike is over six miles with an elevation gain of 1,200 feet and is rated as moderate. To promote our program and present a positive image please wear your favorite CERT t-shirt.
