Capoeira in Orton Park continues at Sundays, 4pm-5:30pm, through June! Come move and learn about yourself and others through this dynamic movement practice rooted in Afro-Brazilian resistance to oppression during colonialism.
We will work on general movement/footwork, ground movement, beginning acro, simple percussion music and call-and-response lyrics, and more! No experience necessary, children welcome if they can participate independently or if they are accompanied by an adult.
There is no charge for the class, but donations are welcome, with a suggested $10 contribution.
