and MORE!
Come celebrate Pride with the Northampton Center for the Arts, A.P.E. Ltd., and Northampton Open Media at 33 Hawley for an opening reception with refreshments and live music during Arts Night Out on Friday, 6/12 from 5:00-8:00 pm!
The Northampton Center for the Arts presents “Seven Moons From Jupiter” in the Barn Door Gallery. Jupiter Ariel (Lex Grotesque) shares art shaped by their 7-year-old part, Seven. Created through therapy and spiritual healing, these pieces capture layered emotion and a journey of self-discovery.
Come see “We Contain Multitudes” at the Split Level Gallery, a celebration of the rich, intersectional identities of BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ creatives. This collection bridges gaps in the art world by welcoming both established and first-time artists, presenting works that radiate tenderness, vulnerability, and authentic connection. Visitors are encouraged to engage openly and rediscover the depth and multitudes within themselves.
Live music by Leo Harrison and Ailey Verdelle
The only thing better than one Black queer trans musician is two! Come join Leo and Ailey, accomplished local musicians, as they celebrate Pride with some funky jazz.
Live performance by Luke King and Bobby LaBitch
In this moving exhibition, Luke King and Bobby LaBitch will perform a 3-minute ballet duet on loop every 20 minutes on the 33 Hawley deck stage-bench. Each variation will be adapted and danced to a different joyful gay anthem! Visitors are invited to catch a glimpse as they enter and exit the building, come watch at a specific time for their favorite song, or check out each performance as the night goes on! Starts at 5:30
NOHO Art Club
Head downstairs to Eli’s Room for a Noho Art Club meet-up from 5:00-8:00 PM. Come play with collage and check out Paige Quinn-Vasic’s demos! Bring your craft and join us to play, craft, and connect with your local arts community.
Talk Nothing Podcast
Join Northampton Open Media in their lower-level office for the recording of Talk Nothing Podcast from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. This all-ages, four-person, first-come-first-serve podcast welcomes anyone to start a conversation based on their imagination or using the provided topic cards. Share what you’ve learned over the year, a recipe, a song, or simply listen in. Recording starts at 6 PM!
All exhibits can also be seen during open hours Wednesday through Saturday, 12-7 p.m. More information about the galleries can be found at https://www.nohoarts.org/galleries
