"The way light falls on a scene inspires me to paint it "
Working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, or mixed media, Anne's goal is to capture the drama that light creates. For each painting, she selects the medium to best depict mood and atmosphere.
Anne Doane's interest in drawing and painting began in high school at Charles Wright Academy. She continued her art studies at the University of Puget Sound then graduated from The University of Washington.

Rita Welch
Award winning oil painter, Rita Welch, has been practicing her style of art, Western Realism, for over 35 years. Many of her paintings depict scenes from the old West, rural landscapes and horses. Her art work is frequently on display in art shows, and galleries in the Pacific Northwest. Some of her art awards include: The Fourth Place award, Oil Painting Division, Fine Art competition, Washington State Fair, 2018; First Place award, "Visions of Peace" art show, Premier Gallery, Puyallup, 2018, Second Place, "Ebb and Flow" art show, Tahoma Center Gallery, Tacoma, WA, 2017. Rita is an active member of Rainier Art Club.
