The 5th season of the Contact Dance International Film Festival is occurring online and in-person from June 8 to 10 2023 in Toronto. The festival celebrates films featuring momentum-based dance by creators and dancers in the fields of Contact Improvisation and related dance forms that are momentum, touch, and relationally based. The Festival provides a unique opportunity for both film and dance lovers to experience through film the joy, chaos, and intimacy of human connection through physical movement and touch.

Aham: I was born and grew up in Barcelona, Spain. Since young I've practiced a great variety of sports and disciplines such as different kinds of martial arts, acrobatics, parkour, dance and gymnastics. At the age of 18, I started my acting studies with the idea of getting to know myself and transmitting better to others. That was the beginning of almost 6 years of studying and working in BCN and NY. It was also my discovery of CI which was taught as a tool for physical listening within the physical theater. Some events made me question what I wanted which redirected my path toward other experiences such as traveling and focusing more on movement, contact, and facilitation. I´ve been traveling, dancing, and facilitating workshops on CI and conscious movement since then.
