June 28 West African Community Drumming Workshop on the Farm

This West African drumming workshop is about community, joy, and learning. Everyone is welcome—whether you have years of musical experience or have never touched a drum before, this workshop is for you.
Drums will be provided for each participant, though you are encouraged to bring your djembe if you have one. Together, we will learn foundational drumming techniques and explore a traditional West African rhythm as an ensemble.
By the end of this three-hour workshop, you will have been introduced to a complete rhythm arrangement, learned the different drumming parts, and experienced the power of playing together in community.
