About this Event
On June 10, we welcome Jeffrey Ding, Assistant Professor of Political Science at George Washington University and author of Technology and the Rise of Great Powers: How Diffusion Shapes Economic Competition. The book investigates how past technological revolutions and emerging technology like AI have influenced and will continue to affect the U.S.-China relationship.
Translating Chinese writings on AI policy and strategy, Ding publishes the ChinAI newsletter to 30,000+ subscribers. His work has been published in Foreign Affairs and his research has been cited in The New York Times and The Washington Post. He received his PhD in 2021 from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
Moderating will be Mika Hoodbhoy of the Wonky China Happy Hour team.
