June 10th - Hello Summer Trip to CBV Orphanage in Mexico

We are kicking off Summer with a day trip to the CBV Orphanage ! Join us Saturday June 10th for soccer, fun summer-inspired activities and ice cream with the children at an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico.

About the orphanage - CBV is home to approximately 30 girls who are in need of our support and attention. By joining us on this trip, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives and create memories that will last a lifetime. We encourage you to invite your friends to share in this amazing experience and bring joy to these deserving children!

Here are the details:

?☕?Meeting Point:

We are meeting at 8:30am sharp at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. After a brief introduction, we will pack the cars and will leave at 9am to Mexico!

? Grocery Shopping:

We will stop at the grocery store. All your donations will be used to buy food and supplies for the kids for next couple weeks.

?? Lunch:

Once at the orphanage, a few of us will prepare lunch for us and the kids. While we might need some help in the kitchen and setting the table for the kiddos from some of you, we will also have some activities to entertain the kids before lunch. We will have lunch all together and finish up with some ice cream!

?️⚽After lunch:

Be ready for to play soccer, summer-inspired activities! It will be lots of fun!

?️??Dinner:

After a group picture with the kids, we will leave around 4:30-5pm and head to Valle De Guadalupe, Ensenada's renowned wine region. Please bring cash with you to make splitting the check easier, dollars is fine ?

? ??‍♀️Crossing back:

After dinner we will head back to the border. All passengers without SENTRI or Global Entry will be dropped off at the pedestrian crossing and will cross the border by foot. Once you are on the US side, you will walk directly to your car.

1) Bring your passports, green cards, global entries, visas, etc.

2) Bring ? cash

-    What to wear:

Something comfortable ? you will get dirty playing games??. It may also get chilly, so bring layers!

Bring a change of clothes if you want to change and freshen up before dinner, you can change at the orphanage before we leave.

To attend, please donate $60 via Eventbrite. Your contribution will cover the cost of transportation, food, and supplies for the kids. All donations are tax deductible, and you're welcome to contribute more.

We are incredibly grateful for your support, and any additional donations you are able to bring with you on the trip would be greatly appreciated. Below is a list of essential items that would be most helpful:

- Deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, face wash for acne-prone skin, toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, razor/shaving cream, and feminine pads (NO tampons).

- Granola, protein bars, juice boxes, healthy cereals that are kid-approved (such as Honey Nut Cheerios), canned vegetables and fruit, oil for cooking, bread for sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly, pasta, and pasta sauce.
